Primary Election Voting Information

The Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Registered voters can cast their ballots in person at their designated polling place. Polls generally open at 8 a.m. and remain open until 6 p.m. CDT. You may also vote early at the County Election Commissioners Office 30 days prior to the election.

How do I register?

If you are not a registered voter, you still have time.

  • Register online or mail-in a printed application before Friday, April 24, 2026 at nebraska.gov/apps-sos-voter-registration
  • The deadline for in-person registration is Friday, May 1, 2026, by 6:00 p.m. at your County Election Commissioner’s Office.

Early Voting

You may vote early at the County Election Commissioner’s Office beginning 30 days prior to the election, or request an early voting ballot through the County Election Commissioner’s Office.
